MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO.
As a kid, I was always taught to be polite and kind towards others, to always respect the elders, and to love the younger ones. And this was my motto till I saw every man in my family cursing and getting away with it. They would use f* word, as I was using bless you.
I was a very observant kid, so f*UCK YOU became my motto.
I mean, people believe that preaching good values to newborns will be their ticket to redemption without actually putting in the work. They want to live vicariously through their kids, but it’s not humanly possible.
HUMILITY ≠ BENDING BACKWARDS
Even as an adult, I find myself constantly apologizing for just being myself. Getting ready for an event is always traumatizing; I have to get my mom’s, my dad’s, my brother’s, and my grandmother’s approval. One doesn’t want me to let my hair down, one doesn’t want me to wear lipstick, and one doesn’t want me to wear a skirt. What am I supposed to do but feel trapped, cause no one ever asks what I feel comfortable in.
Being labeled overprotective is not a badge to be proud of if it is at the expense of someone’s happiness. GIRL, you can’t keep everyone happy. Don’t even try.
A girl in love with herself, confident and bold, is often #rude#selfish# narcissistic #egoistic to society. It’s not you, it’s them.
WHY ‘SORRY’ ISN’T ALWAYS NOBLE?
NEVER SAYING SORRY = 🚩
ALWAYS SAYING SORRY= ❌⭕️❌⭕️, because saying sorry is their habit, it doesn’t mean they are acknowledging their mistake.
WHO ARE THEY, YOU ASK?
Every other person who made you feel small, who made you want to pretend to be something you are not.
” IT TOOK ME YEARS TO LEARN THIS, BUT NOW I DON’T SHRINK ANYMORE………… AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU”
